Creativity Comes to Life at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana

There’s something pretty special about watching a child see their own imagination come to life — and I recently had the chance to experience just that at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana.

The museum recently unveiled Draw Alive, a new interactive exhibit that turns kids’ artwork into part of the experience. Children can create their own drawing, scan their masterpiece and then watch as their creation appears and comes to life on the big screen.

Two of our Littles, Olivia and Lyon, joined us for the opening and had the opportunity to experience the new exhibit firsthand. Seeing their excitement — and all the creativity happening around the room — was a great reminder of how meaningful spaces like this can be for young people.

The new exhibit was made possible through the support of LFT Fiber and S1 Technologies, who worked together to help bring the Children’s Museum of Acadiana’s vision to life.

I was grateful for the opportunity to represent Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana at the opening and see so many local organizations and businesses come together around something created specifically for the children and families in our community.

At BBBS, we believe in creating opportunities for young people to explore, discover and see what’s possible for their futures. Sometimes, that starts with something as simple — and fun — as putting an idea on paper and watching it come to life.
