Lead Mentor, School-Based Programs
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana is hiring a Lead Mentor, School-Based Programs to join our Programs Team!
This is not your typical desk job. Our Lead Mentor will spend their days in local schools building meaningful relationships with young people, leading engaging small-group mentoring experiences, helping students discover their strengths and goals, and creating spaces where they feel seen, supported, and inspired about their futures.
The role will primarily support our growing Big Futures Small Group Mentoring program, serving as a consistent mentor—or “Big”—to middle and high school students while helping us deliver high-quality programming alongside our school partners.
We’re looking for someone who connects naturally with young people, brings energy and consistency into a room, can lead a group, and believes deeply in the potential of every young person.
📍 Full-time | School-Based
💰 $40,000–$50,000
🎓 Multiple education + experience pathways accepted
If youth development, mentoring, education, social work, or simply helping young people become who they’re capable of becoming sounds like your kind of work, we’d love to meet you.
Come be a Big—and make it your job to ignite potential.
