Bowl for Kids Sake

From all of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana, we sincerely hope that you and your family are safe and healthy through unprecedented time. As you know, we had to postpone our Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser, originally set for March 13th. The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 9th, 2020.

Your generosity as a bowler and fundraiser has helped pave the way for the success of Bowl for Kids’ Sake and allowed us to bring positive change to so many of our local youth during the pandemic. Even in the past few months of 2020 while the world was shut down with COVID-19, BBBS has been able to keep Littles connected with their Bigs (virtually, of course), help vulnerable families through this unprecedented time, and virtually enroll new volunteers and youth into our mentoring programs.

As we begin preparations, again, for Bowl for Kids’ Sake, we (of course) have a few tricks up our sleeve. While this Bowl for Kids’ Sake will look a little different than originally planned, we’re prepared and ready to provide a fantastic Bowl for Kids’ Sake experience!  We are currently working with Rock ‘n’ Bowl to iron out event day details with social distancing and the health and safety of the community as a top priority. If you remember, we were ONE DAY away from the event with 64 teams registered when we had to postpone. While we will be able to have the event at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, there will be limited lanes and shift times available. While this presents a significant challenge, we are prepared to adapt, innovate, and make it the best Bowl for Kids’ Sake yet!  Stay tuned for new registration information coming on June 9th, 2020!
